What You'll Do:
- Develop and maintain custom WordPress and Shopify websites with a focus on performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
- Customize themes, plugins, and templates to align with brand aesthetics and functionality goals.
- Collaborate closely with designers, content creators, and backend developers to deliver cohesive digital experiences.
- Integrate third-party services, payment gateways, and APIs to extend website capabilities.
- Optimize websites for SEO, speed, and mobile-first responsiveness.
- Troubleshoot bugs, ensure site security, and manage routine maintenance and updates.
- Explore and work with other CMS platforms such as Webflow, Wix, and Squarespace when needed.
What We're Looking For:
- Relevant hands-on experience in WordPress and Shopify development.
- Solid foundation in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and PHP.
- Experience working with REST APIs and AJAX for dynamic content integration.
- Proficiency in theme development and customization on both WordPress and Shopify (Liquid templating language).
- Familiarity with server-side environments like Apache, NGINX, MySQL/SQL Server, and Linux CLI.
- Strong understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and performance optimization.
- Comfortable using version control systems like Git.
- Proactive problem-solver with attention to detail and an eye for user experience.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across design and development teams.
