Role Overview

We are looking for a WLAN Developer to work on outdoor wireless broadband products, including PTP and PTMP systems. The role involves hands-on development of Linux-based WLAN drivers on Qualcomm wireless platforms, with a strong focus on performance optimization, system stability, and regulatory compliance.

This role is suitable for engineers with strong WLAN fundamentals, from experienced developers to senior contributors.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance Linux WLAN drivers for outdoor wireless products.
• Work on Qualcomm-based wireless chipsets used in PTP / PTMP systems.
• Implement and optimize IEEE 802.11 ac/ax/be features for long-range outdoor links.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex WLAN issues related to throughput, latency, interference, and stability.
• Implement and maintain Wi-Fi security protocols (WPA2, WPA3, PSK, Enterprise).
• Work with OpenWRT / Embedded Linux platforms.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (DFS, EIRP limits, country codes, AFC where applicable).
• Collaborate with hardware, QA, and field teams to validate features in lab and real-world deployments.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong proficiency in C programming.
• Hands-on experience with Linux kernel development.
• Experience in WLAN driver development.
• Experience working on Qualcomm wireless platforms.
• Solid understanding of 802.11 MAC/PHY concepts.
• Experience with Wi-Fi access points or outdoor wireless radios.
• Good understanding of wireless networking and Wi-Fi security.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Outdoor Wireless / PTP / PTMP products.
• Familiarity with OpenWRT / Embedded Linux.
• Knowledge of mac80211, cfg80211, hostapd, wpa_supplicant.
• Knowledge of DFS, regulatory domains, power control, and AFC.
• Exposure to Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be), MLO, multi-radio systems.
• Experience debugging with tcp dump, Wireshark, gdb, and kernel logs.
• Understanding of networking subsystems (bridging, VLANs, routing).
