Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Wiring Technical Writer with experience in aerospace technical publications, wiring documentation, and S1000D/iSpec 2200 standards. The candidate will be responsible for creating, updating, validating, and managing aircraft wiring technical documentation while ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, revise, and maintain aircraft technical publications, wiring manuals, and related documentation.
  • Perform Impact Analysis to assess engineering changes and determine documentation updates.
  • Create and modify technical illustrations and schematics using IsoDraw.
  • Interpret and update schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, and electrical system documentation.
  • Work with ATA iSpec 2200 and S1000D standards for data module creation and maintenance.
  • Manage revisions, effectivity, configuration control, and publication updates within the CSDB (Common Source DataBase) environment.
  • Ensure technical data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with quality standards.
  • Conduct self-checks and participate in peer reviews to maintain data quality.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and program teams to implement product changes in technical documentation.
  • Support validation, verification, and quality assurance activities for technical publications.

Required Skills:

  • Strong analytical and technical skills with experience in Impact Analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with IsoDraw.
  • Experience in interpreting and updating schematic diagrams.
  • Knowledge of ATA iSpec 2200 and S1000D specifications.
  • Experience working with CSDB tools and configuration management processes.
  • Strong understanding of revision control, effectivity management, and data quality standards.
  • Excellent written communication and technical documentation skills.
  • Ability to perform self-reviews and support peer-review activities.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with Airbus A220 Wiring Manuals.
  • Knowledge of aircraft electrical systems and wiring documentation.
  • Exposure to aerospace technical publications and maintenance documentation.
  • Familiarity with XML-based authoring and publishing tools.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Relevant experience in Aerospace Technical Publications, S1000D/iSpec 2200 documentation, or Aircraft Wiring Documentation.

Experience:

  • 3-4 years of experience in aerospace technical documentation, wiring manuals, or technical publications.
