We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Wiring Harness Engineer to join our engineering team in Bangalore. This role is specifically for immediate joiners who can hit the ground running in designing and developing robust wiring harness systems for automotive, rail, or industrial applications. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of harness design—from 3D routing to production release—ensuring all systems meet stringent safety, quality, and packaging constraints. Key Responsibilities
- System Development: Design and develop comprehensive wiring harness systems tailored for automotive, locomotive, or industrial environments.
- 3D Routing: Execute precise 3D harness routing and modeling using NX Unigraphics.
- Technical Validation: Ensure all designs adhere to proper clipping, protection methods, bend radius requirements, and complex packaging constraints.
- Documentation: Create and validate detailed harness layouts, installation drawings, and accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Cross-functional Teamwork: Collaborate closely with Electrical, Mechanical, and Manufacturing teams to integrate harness systems into larger vehicle/machine architectures.
- Standards Compliance: Maintain strict compliance with customer-specific standards and global quality requirements.
- Lifecycle Support: Provide hands-on support for prototype builds, system validation, and final production releases.
Requirements
- Experience: 3 to 6 years of professional experience in wiring harness design.
- Availability: Immediate Joiner only (Candidates who can join within 0-15 days are preferred).
- Domain Expertise: Proven experience in the Automotive, Locomotive, or Rail sectors.
- Software Proficiency: Hands-on, advanced experience in NX Unigraphics, specifically for 3D Harness Routing.
- Design Principles: A strong foundational understanding of wiring harness design principles, including knowledge of DFMEA and DFM.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of tolerance stacks, material protection, and mechanical packaging constraints.
- Process Awareness: Exposure to formal BOM creation and the engineering release process.
