Job Description

Design, develop, and execute automated test suites for wireless networking products, focusing on 802.11 standards (a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be). Ensure performance, stability, throughput, roaming, and interoperability across multiple testbeds. Develop automation frameworks and collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate new features and improve product quality.

What You'll Do:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for wireless networking products.
  • Validate wireless performance, stability, throughput, roaming, and interoperability.
  • Use test platforms such as IxChariot, Veriwave, and Candela for performance benchmarking, traffic generation, and protocol validation.
  • Develop automation scripts using Python, with emphasis on:
  • Pytest framework for structured test development
  • REST API automation for backend and device-level validation
  • Paramiko for SSH-based automation and remote device control
  • Collaborate with development, firmware, and product teams to identify defects, analyze root causes, and implement resolutions.
  • Create detailed test plans, test cases, and documentation for new features and regression cycles.
  • Participate in CI/CD initiatives to improve test coverage and efficiency.
  • Contribute to enhancement of internal automation frameworks and testing tools.

What You Need to Bring:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 68 years of experience in wireless networking test automation.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of 802.11 wireless standards, RF fundamentals, and WiFi system behavior.
  • Hands-on experience with IxChariot, Veriwave, Candela, or similar wireless test platforms.
  • Proficiency in Python for scalable automation frameworks.
  • Solid experience with Pytest, including fixtures, parametrization, and reporting.
  • Experience automating REST APIs and using Paramiko for SSH-based device interactions.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CWNP certifications (CWNA, CWAP, CWSP) or similar.
  • Experience with WiFi 6/6E/7 testing environments.
  • Familiarity with traffic analysis tools (Wireshark, Omnipeek).
  • Exposure to CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, GitHub, or similar.
  • Knowledge of Linux environments and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing).
