About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead Systems Engineer to manage, support, and optimize enterprise IT infrastructure across distributed environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Windows Active Directory, Microsoft 365, hybrid cloud platforms, and virtualization technologies.This role is responsible for leading infrastructure modernization initiatives, ensuring high availability, strengthening security, and driving operational excellence across enterprise systems. The candidate will work closely with internal IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable and secure IT services while maintaining an exceptional end-user experience.The ideal professional should possess strong technical leadership, troubleshooting expertise, and the ability to balance strategic infrastructure initiatives with day-to-day operational support.
Key Responsibilities
- Active Directory & Windows Infrastructure
- Manage and maintain enterprise Windows Active Directory environments across distributed locations.
- Lead Active Directory upgrades, migrations, domain consolidations, and modernization initiatives.
- Administer Group Policies (GPO), DNS, DHCP, identity management, and access controls.
- Ensure directory services availability, scalability, and security compliance.
- Microsoft 365 & Collaboration Services
- Manage and support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and Intune.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex M365 performance and connectivity issues.
- Implement security best practices for email, collaboration, and endpoint management.
- Support hybrid identity and authentication solutions integrated with Active Directory.
- Hybrid Cloud & Virtualization
- Support and optimize hybrid infrastructure environments across AWS and Azure platforms.
- Manage virtualization technologies such as VMware and Proxmox.
- Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, backup, and disaster recovery processes.
- Ensure high availability and efficient resource utilization across cloud and on-prem environments.
- Infrastructure Operations & Support
- Oversee IT operations and helpdesk activities to ensure timely issue resolution and service delivery.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting support for Windows and Linux systems.
- Drive infrastructure stability, patch management, and system hardening initiatives.
- Maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and technical knowledge repositories.
- Security & Compliance
- Implement infrastructure security best practices and access management controls.
- Ensure systems comply with organizational security policies and industry standards.
- Support audit activities, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure risk management.
- Monitor system health, security alerts, and operational incidents proactively.
- Leadership & Collaboration
- Mentor and guide helpdesk and infrastructure support teams.
- Coordinate with vendors, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams for project execution.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and user experience.
- Provide technical leadership during critical incidents and infrastructure transformation projects.
Required Skills & Expertise
- 8+ years of experience in Systems Engineering / Infrastructure Administration roles.

- Hands-on experience with:

- Windows and Linux server troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of infrastructure security, patching, and system hardening practices.
- Experience managing enterprise IT operations and end-user support environments.
- Proven leadership experience in mentoring teams and managing vendors.
- Excellent communication, troubleshooting, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring infrastructure reliability and operational excellence.
