Windows Infrastructure & Patching Engineer

Responsibilities :

Manage and maintain Windows infrastructure environments, ensuring availability, performance, and operational stability.

Plan, coordinate, and execute Windows patching cycles (monthly/adhoc), including pre-checks, deployment, and post-validation.

Perform patch impact analysis, risk assessment, and scheduling aligned with maintenance windows and change governance.

Troubleshoot patching failures and infrastructure issues perform root-cause analysis and implement preventive fixes.

Maintain patch compliance reporting, dashboards, and audit-ready documentation for stakeholders and security teams.

Coordinate with application owners to validate services after patching and ensure timely issue resolution.

Support Windows Server administration activities such as health checks, capacity monitoring, and incident/problem management.

Drive standard operating procedures (SOPs), runbooks, and continuous improvements for patching and infrastructure operations.

Technical and Professional Requirements:

5â€11 years of hands-on experience in Windows infrastructure operations and Windows patching management.

Strong working knowledge of Windows and Windows Server administration in enterprise environments.

Experience executing patching processes with clear validation steps, rollback planning, and change coordination.

Proven troubleshooting skills across Windows infrastructure, including patch-related failures and service disruptions.
