The Windows Infrastructure Engineer designs, supports, and evolves complex technical solutions that underpin customer-facing products and critical internal systems on our Windows platform. This role focuses on stability, scalability, and innovation, acting as a technical problem-solver, solution designer, and escalation partner across teams.

Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve complex application and infrastructure issues, delivering timely and accurate solutions in a collaborative environment
- Design, implement, and support engineered solutions, platform services, and mission critical systems
- Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to design solutions that meet functional, technical, and operational requirements
- Serve as an escalation point for advanced technical issues in alignment with team support policies
- Contribute technical expertise to cross-functional initiatives and interdepartmental projects
- Collaborate with third-party vendors to support and integrate key technologies
- Develop and maintain clear, scalable documentation for systems, products, and engineered solutions
- Facilitate knowledge sharing through training, documentation, and informal mentorship
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts
- Monitor, maintain, and audit software licensing and system compliance where applicable
- Support internal and external audits (e.g., licensing, security, compliance) as required
- Stay current on emerging technologies, platforms, and best practices to inform solution design and modernization efforts

Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure, or platform-focused roles
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
- Advanced experience administering and supporting Windows Server environments
- Strong background in identity management, directory services, and authentication systems
- Experience supporting database platforms and high-availability or fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in powershell scripting and automation for systems management
- Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, and infrastructure layers
- Experience with issue tracking and project management tools (e.g., Jira or equivalent)
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or similar)
- Proven ability to balance customer needs with operational stability and best practices
- Ability to work independently on project-based work while collaborating effectively across teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant technical certifications (e.g., systems, cloud, or platform-focused)
- Experience in infrastructure management; familiarity with setup, maintenance, and auditing of Microsoft-based environments, focusing on AD, DFS, and IIS
- Extremely comfortable with PowerShell scripting and experience with C# to streamline system operations
- Experience with Failover Clustering, Availability Groups, Hyper-V, and DPM
- Additional experience with other scripting languages, like bash and javascript
