AHEAD is searching for a Windows Engineer to be a part of our Managed Services team. Candidates are eager to learn, customer focused, an effective communicator, self-initiating and can perform most tasks without direct oversight.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Daily administration and support of core infrastructure systems
- Identify, analyze, and resolve problems on a variety of Operating Systems Windows
- Perform root cause analysis for issues / provide workarounds to ensure business continuity
- Create and document application & infrastructure requirements by working with those involved in the development of IT enhancements and changes, including Business Systems staff, developers, business stakeholders, and outside consultants as needed
- Ensure that client's infrastructure is healthy, stable, documented, and configured with accepted technical best practices
- Ensure business continuity and security across all systems supporting the company IT operations
Qualifications/ Technology Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of related experience in supporting Windows in an enterprise environment
- Experience in Active Directory (Group Policy , AD Replication Troubleshooting , DFSR , Kerberos Authentication , Advanced Troubleshooting Skills
- Windows Server Administration - (DNS , DHCP , Windows Server related advanced troubleshooting , Patching related troubleshooting )
- Microsoft OS or other related training and certification required (MCSA, MCSE)
- Strong knowledge on Azure Infrastructure
- Entra ID Knowledge
- Experience in PowerShell and the ability to create and utilize scripts preferred
- Strong SCCM knowledge is required
- Managed Services or Consulting experience is a plus
- ITILv4 certification encouraged
