About The Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to join the Windows Display Team at Qualcomm India Private Limited. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing display drivers and related software specifically for Windows-based Snapdragon PCs. Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering high-quality display solutions that enhance user experience and meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and quality assurance to ensure seamless integration and performance of display technologies across our product portfolio. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects in the mobile computing space, influencing the future of display technology in Windows environments.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, complemented by significant industry experience. A bachelor's or master's degree is required, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in embedded systems development, focusing on display technologies. Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages is essential, along with excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities are critical for collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Preferred qualifications include experience with Windows display driver model (WDDM), DirectX, display technologies such as DisplayPort, and hardware debugging tools like Windbg and Trace. Candidates with experience in hardware-software integration and optimization will be highly valued.
Responsibilities
Design and develop display drivers and related software for Windows-based Snapdragon devices, ensuring compatibility and performance.
Debug and resolve complex issues related to display performance, stability, and compatibility, employing advanced debugging tools and techniques.
Optimize display performance, power consumption, and resource utilization to deliver an efficient user experience.
Collaborate with hardware teams to ensure seamless integration of display components and drivers with the underlying hardware architecture.
Work closely with quality assurance teams to validate software updates and improve overall product quality.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in display technology and incorporate innovative solutions into ongoing projects.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
