Job Description

Role Overview

As a Staff Windows Driver Development Engineer, you will serve as a technical authority for Windows kernel driver development across modern hardware platforms. You will own and influence driver architecture, debug complex kernel mode issues, and guide platform enablement from early hardware bring up to production deployment.

This role requires deep expertise in Windows kernel internals, driver frameworks, and system level debugging, along with the ability to independently solve ambiguous, high impact problems. Experience with graphics and display drivers is a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Windows kernel mode drivers, such as IO drivers, Graphics/Display drivers and Storage drivers

• Deep hands on experience with:

o WDM / KMDF / UMDF

o Plug and Play (PnP) and power management

o Interrupt handling and DMA

• Drive bring up and enablement for new hardware platforms

• Own driver lifecycle from prototype through ready to production releases

• Debug complex kernel mode failures including:

o Bug checks (BSODs)

o Deadlocks and race conditions

o Memory corruption and performance issues

• Perform deep root cause analysis across hardware, firmware, and OS boundaries

• Drive issues to closure across development, validation, and release cycles

Preferred Skills

• Deep expertise in Windows kernel internals

• Strong hands on experience developing Windows kernel mode drivers

• Expert proficiency in C/C++

• Advanced debugging experience with WinDbg and kernel debugging tools

• Proven ability to resolve system level and platform wide issues

• Track record of delivering production quality Windows drivers

• Knowledge of graphics, display, or GPU driver architectures
