Windows Administrator

Your Role

• As a Wintel / Windows Server Administrator at Capgemini, you will be responsible for managing, administering, and optimizing enterprise Windows Server and VMware virtualization environments. You will play a critical role in ensuring high availability, performance, and security of businesscritical infrastructure while aligning operations with ITIL processes and organizational standards.
• Administer and support Windows Server environments (2008/2012/2016/2019) and VMware infrastructure including vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
• Manage VMware ARIA Operations (vROps) for infrastructure monitoring, performance optimization, health checks, and capacity planning.
• Execute Windows & VMware lifecycle management including patching, upgrades, configuration changes, and version standardization.
• Troubleshoot complex Windows and virtualization issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes to minimize downtime and SLA breaches.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to support infrastructure and businesscritical applications, while maintaining documentation, SOPs, and compliance with security standards.

Your Profile

• 5+ years of handson experience in Wintel / Windows Server Administration and VMware virtualization environments.
• Strong expertise in VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and virtual machine provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Handson exposure to VMware ARIA Operations (vROps) for monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
• Solid understanding of Active Directory, GPOs, user and access management, along with storage, networking, and backup integration in virtual environments.
• Certifications aligned to the role such as VCP / VCAP (preferred) with working knowledge of ITIL Foundation practices.
