Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain PTC Windchill systems, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Manage and troubleshoot Linux servers, utilizing L4 level expertise to address complex issues.
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate system processes and enhance functionality.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and configuration changes to ensure security and stability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate PTC Windchill with other enterprise systems.
- Monitor system performance and resource utilization, implementing proactive measures to prevent downtime.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, resolving issues promptly and efficiently.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a PTC Windchill System Administrator.
- Expertise in Linux system administration, with L4 level proficiency.
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, Perl) to automate tasks and solve complex problems.
- In-depth knowledge of PTC Windchill architecture, configuration, and customization.
- Experience with system monitoring tools and techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PTC Windchill, Linux) are a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and services.
- Knowledge of database management and SQL.
- Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices.
