Hiring: Wildlife Conservation Video Editor & Social Media Coordinator (Junior Role)
Location; Prabhat Road, Pune (Onsite + Occasional Field Visits)
Full-time | 25,000–35,000/month

About the Role
The Grasslands Trust is looking for a Junior Video Editor & Social Media Coordinator to work on wildlife conservation storytelling and communication.
This role combines video editing, social media management, and field documentation, with a strong focus on real, on-ground conservation work.
A significant part of the role is also working with large archival datasets—sorting, reviewing, and identifying meaningful content—so patience, attention to detail, and consistency are important.

We work on wildlife protection, research, community-based conservation, and grassland habitat restoration projects.
Our work involves documenting ecosystems, wildlife, and communities, and translating this into impactful visual stories and outreach content.
What You'll Do
• Edit wildlife videos, reels, and short-form content
• Work extensively with archival footage and datasets
• Support field shoots and wildlife documentation (as per schedule)
• Create short documentary-style films on ongoing projects
• Manage and grow our presence on Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn
• Build collaborations and partnerships to expand reach
• Create basic designs using Canva
• Organise and maintain media archives
• Handle and maintain all documentation equipment (cameras, lenses, audio gear, drones)
• Support other organisational activities (events, campaigns, field coordination, etc.)
Tools & Skills
• DaVinci Resolve (preferred) — 1–2 years experience
• Adobe Premiere Pro (secondary)
• Canva (basic design)
• Experience handling wildlife photography / filmmaking equipment (telephoto lenses, DSLR/mirrorless, heavy tripods etc.)
• Interest in or experience with DJI drones (plus; willingness to learn required)
Requirements
• Strong interest in wildlife, conservation, and storytelling
• Comfortable with onsite work (office + occasional field)
• Willing to work in outdoor conditions when required
• Strong English communication skills
• Marathi/Hindi is a plus
• High learning attitude and ownership mindset
