WIfi/ Networking Apps Test Engineer (Staff Engineer)

General Summary

Join Qualcomm's System Test team focused on defining and implementing testing strategies for WiFi, Networking, AI/ML, and applications on access points (routers). The role involves developing test plans, tools, and automation frameworks to validate AI SDKs, AI/ML inference engines, and embedded applications.

Collaborate closely with systems, software, and hardware teams to deliver production-quality software and firmware to customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze new features and develop comprehensive test plans and cases.
• Develop test applications and build API test frameworks for AI/ML models.
• Manage test infrastructure and design network topologies/use cases for validation.
• Support end-to-end release processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Lead and mentor engineering teams on complex features, testing strategies, and automation.
• Conduct log analysis for troubleshooting and recommend solutions.
• Share knowledge across the team and maintain strong collaboration across multiple teams, including lab, IO, field, and product management.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Electronics & Communications, or related field with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• OR
• Master's or PhD degree with proportionally less experience in Systems Test Engineering, AI/ML, or Embedded Application testing.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong WLAN/Networking knowledge, especially manual testing of networking products.
• Experience in developing and testing embedded applications.
• Expertise in developing and validating AI/ML models and applications.
• In-depth understanding of Layer 2 to Layer 7 networking protocols and testing.
• High debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficient in scripting languages like Python.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
