Wifi Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for a Wi-Fi Development Engineer with strong expertise in Embedded Linux and Wi-Fi stack development. The candidate will work on development and integration of Wi-Fi features across Linux-based embedded platforms.

Responsibilities

·      Develop and enhance Wi-Fi features on Embedded Linux platforms

·      Work on Wi-Fi stack components such as hostapd, wpa_supplicant, cfg80211, and mac80211

·      Perform kernel / driver-level debugging and issue analysis

·      Develop Wi-Fi features including AP/STA mode, WPA2/WPA3, roaming, mesh, and connectivity enhancements

·      Integrate and debug networking components across Linux-based systems

·      Analyze Wi-Fi sniffer logs, packet captures, and system logs using tools like Wireshark and tcpdump

·      Collaborate with cross-functional teams for feature integration and issue resolution

·      Support board bring-up and connectivity enablement on Qualcomm / NXP platforms

·      Develop scripts/tools for automation and debugging activities

·      Perform root cause analysis and fix stability/performance issues

Mandatory Skills

·      Strong experience in Embedded Linux / Yocto BSP development

·      Strong programming skills in C / Embedded C

·      Hands-on experience in Wi-Fi stack development (hostapd, wpa_supplicant, cfg80211/mac80211)

·      Good understanding of IEEE 802.11 protocols (a/b/g/n/ac/ax) and Wi-Fi security (WPA2/WPA3)

·      Experience in Linux networking stack and TCP/IP concepts

·      Experience in driver-level debugging and kernel interactions

·      Hands-on experience with Wireshark, tcpdump, and packet analysis

·      Experience in Qualcomm / NXP platform bring-up and networking integration

Preferred Skills

·      Experience with Android AOSP / HAL debugging

·      Exposure to OpenWRT / RDKB / PrplOS environments

·      Knowledge of Mesh / Multi-AP / 802.11k/v/r features

·      Experience in automation using Shell/Python scripting

·      Exposure to OTA, BLE, or LTE connectivity integration

·      Experience working with embedded networking or connectivity products

Qualification

·      Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related field

·      3 to 4 years of relevant experience in Wi-Fi / Embedded Linux development

Note

Candidates with only testing/validation experience will not be considered. Hands-on development experience in Wi-Fi stack and Linux networking is mandatory.
