Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Jaipur for Wet and Dry Utilities Designers. The role involves preparing detailed designs, drawings, and layouts for wet utilities (such as water supply, sewerage, drainage, irrigation, and treatment plants) and dry utilities (such as electrical networks, communication lines, and related infrastructure) in alignment with project requirements and standards. The designer will coordinate with project managers, civil and MEP engineers, BIM specialists, and other stakeholders to integrate utility designs into overall project models and construction plans. Day-to-day tasks include conducting site and data analysis, reviewing technical specifications, performing design calculations, and ensuring compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and sustainability objectives. The role also includes participating in design reviews, resolving technical issues, updating documentation, and supporting tender and construction phases with accurate utility information.
Qualifications
- Strong technical skills in designing water supply networks, sewerage systems, stormwater drainage, and other wet utility infrastructure.
- Experience in planning and designing dry utilities such as electrical distribution, communication ducts, and associated service corridors.
- Proficiency with design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, or similar tools) and familiarity with BIM workflows.
- Understanding of relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing utility design, safety, and sustainability.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and survey data.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills for design calculations and optimization.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for coordinating with multidisciplinary project teams and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; a master's degree or specialized training in infrastructure/utility design is an advantage.
- Prior experience in consulting, construction engineering, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
