What Role You Will Play In Our Team

We are looking for minimum 3 years experienced engineers with an emphasis on data engineering and data visualization to provide wells engineering support across Exxon Mobils global portfolio

This position will also require interaction with the broader data science and analytics career community in ExxonMobil India to share best practices and upskill on various technologies (Snowflake, Data bricks, many others)

What You Will Do

Create intuitive and effective visualizations of drilling, completion, and production data from multiple repositories to provide immediate insights

Help colleagues use data visualization using Spotfire /Power BI to solve complex engineering and commercial problems

Create tutorials, SOP documentation, training material and case studies pertaining to data modeling and analysis

Engage directly with key stakeholders to deliver on commitments and meet the requested intent of the requested insights

Provide engineering recommendations in drilling, completions, and well performance area to ExxonMobil Wells teams based on data modeling and analysis

Monitor drilling data and provide insights and recommendations based on analysis to help improve drilling efficiencies

Contribute to various stages of analytics, model deployment and model maintenance

Provide well surveillance to establish trends, recognize deviations, and identify data quality issues

About You

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor or Masters degree from a recognized university in Petroleum, Chemical, Civil, Mechanical or related discipline with minimum GPA of 7.5

Minimum 3 years of work experience in Data analytics and visualization in the upstream oil and gas industry

Strong analytical skills to evaluate critical design operating parameters through data and trend analysis

Experience in data extractions from different kinds of database like common OG database, SQL server, oracle server etc Experience creating visualizations in Spotfire/Power BI is preferred

Experience preferred in well design, well performance monitoring, troubleshooting, or optimization of well performance and well management preferred

Experience in online multiplayer game visualization or data collation preferred

Experience in programming languages such as Java will be an advantage

Preferred Qualifications / Experience Strong communication skills

Demonstrated ability to cooperate effectively in a team environment

Knowledge of SQL and Python programming is preferred

Flexibility to work in shifts, with opportunities to leverage flexible work hours

Position is Bangalore-based with potential for international travel
