Brief Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Web Analytics Specialist to join our Digital Marketing team. This role is ideal for a data-driven professional with 5+ years of demonstrated hands-on experience in Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), and Looker Studio.
The Web Analytics Specialist will play a critical role in implementing and maintaining our web analytics strategy, ensuring data accuracy, and delivering actionable insights through advanced dashboards. The position requires close collaboration with US-based stakeholders, marketing teams, developers, and external partners to ensure robust tracking, data governance, and meaningful reporting. This role has a unique, exciting opportunity to be a key contributor in building a new era in web analytics for Zurn Elkay.
Roles and Responsibilities
Tag Management & Implementation
Lead the setup, testing, and deployment of tags, triggers, and variables using Google Tag Manager (GTM) and GA4
Implement and oversee cross-brand tracking among a half-dozen web properties; add reliable visibility to our users throughout their journey across multiple domains
Implement advanced GTM configurations, leveraging JavaScript and Regular Expressions (Regex) for custom tracking and debugging.
Conduct rigorous QA and troubleshooting to ensure accurate data collection across multiple platforms and environments.
Data Governance & Integrity
Identify and resolve gaps in tracking implementation to improve data accuracy and trustworthiness.
Address attribution inconsistencies and implement User ID stitching for enhanced cross-device tracking.
Establish and enforce governance policies for consistent data collection and reporting.
Data Layer & Event Tracking
Oversee the design, implementation, and validation of data layers to support granular event tracking.
Standardize event naming conventions and conversion tracking for key user interactions (e.g., downloads, form submissions, button clicks).
Advanced Tracking Strategies
Design and implement cookie-based tracking to improve personalization and attribution accuracy.
Roll out and maintain UTM governance frameworks, ensuring adherence to best practices and internal standards.
Integration & Reporting
Support API integrations with data warehouses such as Snowflake and collaborate with BI teams for advanced analytics.
Partner with BI teams using tools like Tableau to create comprehensive dashboards combining web and business data.
Build and maintain Looker Studio dashboards to visualize KPIs, user journeys, and website performance trends.
Collaboration & Enablement
Work closely with marketing, development, and external vendors to support analytics initiatives and troubleshoot issues.
Provide training and documentation to internal teams on analytics best practices, GTM usage, and reporting standards.
Job Specification: (Education, training, and experience)
bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field.
Master's degree is an added advantage.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in web analytics and tag management.
5+ years of experience in GA4 and GTM with proven expertise in analytics implementation and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of Data Layer architecture, event tracking, and custom dimensions.
Proficiency in JavaScript, Regex, and familiarity with HTML/CSS for advanced tag customization.
Experience with Looker Studio for dashboard creation and data visualization. Exposure to A/B testing and multivariate testing methodologies.
Familiarity with Tableau, Microsoft Clarity, and API-based data integrations is a plus.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication and presentation skills for stakeholder engagement.
