Role Description

This is a remote paid internship role for a Web Development Intern (LAMP Stack). The intern will support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of robust web applications built on the Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP (LAMP) framework.

Daily responsibilities include building responsive user interfaces, writing efficient server-side PHP scripts, managing MySQL databases, and ensuring seamless integration between the front-end and back-end. You will collaborate closely with the design and security teams to deliver high-quality, secure web solutions while optimizing performance and troubleshooting technical issues within the LAMP environment.

Qualifications

  • Back-End Development: Solid foundational knowledge of PHP and server-side logic. Familiarity with the Apache web server environment is a plus.
  • Database Management: Proficiency in MySQL, including designing schemas, writing SQL queries, and managing relational data.
  • Front-End Development: Strong skills in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. Experience with modern frameworks (e.g., React, Vue) is encouraged.
  • Systems & Environment: Basic understanding of Linux command line and web server configuration.
  • Version Control: Experience using Git for collaborative development and code management.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to debug PHP scripts and optimize database performance.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, remote team setting.
  • Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Web Development, Software Engineering, or a related field.
