Role Overview:
As a Full Stack Web Developer & Designer, you will be responsible for building, designing, customizing, and maintaining websites primarily on WordPress and Shopify. You should have strong front-end design sensibilities as well as solid back-end development expertise. You'll work closely with our marketing, design, and product teams to bring brand vision and performance together in seamless web experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop responsive, fast-loading websites on WordPress and Shopify
- Customize themes and plugins as per project requirements
- Optimize site performance (Core Web Vitals, SEO, speed)
- Build custom functionality using PHP, Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Implement third-party tools, APIs, and integrations (CRMs, Payment Gateways, Email Marketing Tools, etc.)
- Maintain and improve existing sites and troubleshoot issues
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness
- Create visually appealing and conversion-optimized UI/UX designs
- Collaborate with teams to plan and execute new website features or landing pages
Requirements:
- Proven experience with WordPress (custom themes, plugins) and Shopify (Liquid, theme development)
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, and Liquid
- Experience with WooCommerce, Webflow, or headless CMS setups
- Familiarity with Shopify apps and API customization
- Experience with responsive and mobile-first design
- Familiarity with website performance tools like GTmetrix, PageSpeed Insights
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices (technical & on-page)
- Experience with Git and version control workflows
- Understanding of CRO principles and user journey optimization
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- 4-5 years of relevant work experience
Bonus (Good to Have):
- Knowledge of React or Vue.js
- Basic animation skills (GSAP, Lottie, etc.)
- Working knowledge of analytics & conversion tracking
