About The Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Web Developer to join our Technology & Operations team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing, maintaining, and enhancing web applications that support our business and operational objectives. Your focus will be on creating innovative solutions that improve efficiency, automate processes, and deliver seamless user experiences. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX designers, operations staff, and regional stakeholders, to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable web applications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies within a dynamic logistics environment, with potential for relocation to Dubai or Oman after the probation period, depending on performance and business needs.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of two years of hands-on full-stack development experience, with proficiency in React, Laravel, React Native, HTML, CSS, and related JavaScript/PHP frameworks. A solid understanding of databases, version control tools such as Git or SVN, and web server environments like Apache or Nginx is essential. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field is required, along with familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or DigitalOcean. Experience with system testing, automated testing, and OCR frameworks is advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, an understanding of software development lifecycles, and an appreciation for UI/UX best practices. The ability to work independently, collaborate effectively with team members and users, and adapt to the Middle Eastern working environment is crucial. Willingness to relocate after the initial period is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop, automate, and maintain web applications and services aligned with business and operational goals, ensuring adherence to performance standards and best coding practices.
- Collaborate with team leads and members to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure timely delivery of features and updates.
- Work closely with UI/UX designers to maintain consistency in design and user experience across applications.
- Document product features, technical specifications, and project progress to facilitate knowledge sharing and future development efforts.
- Stay informed about emerging trends, tools, and technologies in web development to continuously enhance skill sets and incorporate innovative solutions.
- Coordinate with yard staff, operations, and accounts teams to ensure seamless integration of web applications into existing workflows.
- Participate in system testing, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize application performance and reliability.
