About The Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Front-End Developer to join our remote-first team at GACS. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining our core codebase, implementing new features, and ensuring the seamless performance of our applications. You will collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and fellow developers to translate design prototypes into functional, high-quality code. Your expertise will help us deliver a superior user experience while adhering to best practices in software development. Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates should possess a strong foundation in front-end development, particularly with React and TypeScript. A minimum of 2-6 years of professional experience in software development is required, with demonstrated expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals. Familiarity with standard engineering workflows such as pull requests, code reviews, and agile methodologies is essential. Candidates must be able to work effectively during the designated hours of 8 AM to 2 PM ET (6:30 PM to 12:30 AM IST) on weekdays. Fluency in professional-level English, both written and verbal, is mandatory to facilitate clear communication within our distributed team environment.
Responsibilities
- Development and testing of new features and general codebase maintenance
- Creating and reviewing pull requests, implementing feedback from code reviews
- Collaborating with other developers to implement best practices, understand data models, and integrate with APIs
- Working closely with the product team to understand user experience (UX) requirements and implementing designs and prototypes accordingly
- Writing comprehensive tests and assisting with quality assurance processes to ensure smooth feature rollout
- Contributing to project documentation and preparing notes on upcoming features and technical updates
