Brief Background of the Job:
The Wholesale Banking Coverage Group (WBCG) focusses on doing business with customers such as
the Government, Strategic, large and mid-corporates and the SMEs across industries like
Infrastructure, Engineering, Chemicals, Oil& Gas, Metals, textiles etc. The Corporate lending business
emphasizes on doing business with higher rated corporates with a focus on garnering a higher share
of the cash flows by providing working capital facilities.
Sales & Solution team within GCG, is responsible for driving business development through RM/State
Heads. It also acts as the think-tank of the business group foraying and finding new business
opportunities, evaluating them, and finally deploying them as projects.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Lesioning with the RMs/State Heads to understand the ground realities of the market and deliver
superior customer requirements and customized product offerings to Govt. Clients.
2. Determining profitability of business proposals based on information provided by RMs through CBA
tools.
3. Critical thinking in terms of identifying the scope and white spaces to drive CoE Projects
4. Ensuring better Business drives and Product offerings by streamlining processes to improve
customer, frontline and operations experience.
5. Working on RFPs, Govt. Tenders and Bid based mandates to understand the business requirements,
and design of business solution
6. Coordination with Internal Products and other stakeholders for delivery of required solution
7. Co-owning and driving GCG focus segments
8. Driving business along with GCG Sales and Branch Team for all CoE Projects
9. Regular update to Strategy Team on the progress of CoE Projects
Academic Qualifications Required: Graduation + MBA
Professional Relevant Work Experience Required: Having exposure to Govt Business
