Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Watchmaker/Watch Technician role based in New Delhi. The role involves assembling, regulating, and testing mechanical and Q-Matic movements, as well as performing routine servicing and repairs on complete watches. Responsibilities include diagnosing functional issues, replacing worn or damaged components, cleaning and lubricating movements, and ensuring all work meets brand quality standards. The Watchmaker/Watch Technician will also handle case preparation, bracelet/strap fitting, and water-resistance testing, while accurately documenting work performed. Collaboration with design and product teams, maintaining a clean and organized bench, and adhering to safety and quality procedures are key aspects of the day-to-day work.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in mechanical watch assembly, servicing, and repair, including movement regulation and adjustment.
  • Experience with diagnostics, troubleshooting, and component replacement for both mechanical and quartz/Q-Matic timepieces.
  • Proficiency with watchmaking tools and equipment (timing machines, pressure testers, lathes, cleaning machines, microscopes).
  • High level of manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to work with small components under magnification.
  • Familiarity with water-resistance testing, case and bracelet/strap fitting, and finishing or polishing techniques is an advantage.
  • Formal training in watchmaking, horology, or a related technical discipline; industry certifications or apprenticeships are a plus.
  • Ability to follow technical documentation and standard operating procedures, with strong record-keeping and bench organization habits.
  • Effective communication skills, reliability, and a collaborative mindset, with a genuine interest in horology and product design.
