Raptee.HV is a full- stack electric motorcycle startup with a very strong technical moat, founded in 2019 by four engineers from Chennai (Ex Tesla, Wipro), working on bringing a no-compromise upgrade motorcycle to an otherwise scooter- only EV market. Raptee is incubated at CIIC & ARAI.

Role Overview

Lead in-house refurbishment of warranty-returned EV components (Battery Box, Motor Controller, VCU, HV harness, PDU). Turn 90% of field failures into refurbished parts ready for next warranty claims saving 50L+/year in scrap costs. Build scalable rework process.

What You'll Do

Rework Process Ownership

Receive, diagnose, and rework warranty parts from dealers (target: 90% repair success).

Develop standard rework SOPs for Battery Box (sealant, HV test), Motor Controller (firmware flash, PCB repair), VCU (calibration).

Maintain refurbished parts inventory track, certify, dispatch to dealers.

Achieve <30-day turnaround from receipt to ready stock.

Root Cause & Prevention

Daily RCA on failures (5 Whys, 8D) feed insights to Production/IPQC.

Reduce repeat failures 50% quarterly through design/process feedback.

Collaborate with MSE on supplier quality improvements.

Track failure trends: MTBF, cost per failure, top 5 issues dashboard.

Team & Operations

Manage 3-10 technicians (train on EV HV safety, rework procedures).

Maintain test rigs (battery cycler, dyno, oscilloscope).

Monthly warranty cost reports to leadership (target:

Audit dealer rework compliance (quarterly visits).

Who Can Apply

• 3+ years automotive/EV warranty, rework, or service engineering.
• Hands-on EV experience: Battery systems, motor controllers, HV safety.
• Technical: RCA tools (8D, FMEA), MS Excel/PowerBI for trends.
• Leadership: Team management, SOP creation, vendor coordination.
• Any Engineering Background related to Mech, Production, Electrical and Electronics.
