Company : Trading & Warehousing Agri Commodities

Position : Warehouse Supervisor

Job Location : East Africa

Job Responsibilities:

The Warehouse & Inventory Operations Manager will oversee end-to-end operations of a regulated agricultural commodities warehouse. The role includes managing stock intake, quality control, inventory systems, and coordination with satellite collection centers. The warehouse operates under a warehouse receipt regulatory framework and facilitates auctioning via the Tanzania Mercantile Exchange.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Warehouse & Inventory Management

Manage overall warehouse operations for agricultural commodities. - Oversee receipt, storage, stacking, and dispatch of goods. - Maintain accurate inventory records using lot-based tracking. - Handle monthly volumes of approximately 5,000–6,000 MT. - Ensure optimal use of warehouse space (4,000 sq. meters). - Maintain clear documentation for all goods received and stored.

  • Receiving & Quality Control

Supervise stock receiving from farmers and collection centers. - Check and verify weight, quality, and condition of incoming goods. - Maintain samples of all goods received with proper lot number tagging. - Flag substandard crops before acceptance or collection.

  • Crop Knowledge & Standards

Commodities: Green Beans, Sesame, Pigeon Peas, Cashew Nuts. - Understand crop weight loss science and moisture control. - Compare incoming stock against global quality standards. - Ensure compliance with regulatory warehouse receipt requirements.

  • Satellite Center & Cleaning Point Coordination

Oversee 5 cleaning and collection centers within 50 km of the main warehouse. - Coordinate staff working at satellite locations. - Monitor quality of cargo dispatched from satellite centers. - Standardize receiving procedures across locations. - Ensure quality control from satellite centers to main warehouse.

  • Off-Season Responsibilities (January – March)

Conduct staff training and operational readiness programs. - Assist with ongoing queries from depositors and buyers. - Plan for the upcoming season including staffing and logistics.

Desired Profile :

Any Graduate with 5-8 yrs. experience in managing large warehouse of Agriculture commodities.

East Africa experience is Preferred.
