About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Operations & Automation Specialist to optimize and modernize our client's warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in implementing warehouse management systems (WMS), automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), and process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Visibility & Accuracy: Implement real-time inventory tracking to maintain precise stock counts and location visibility.
- Space Utilization & Storage Optimization: Design and implement ASRS solutions for vertical storage and automated placement, maximizing warehouse space efficiency.
- Operational Efficiency: Identify bottlenecks in picking, packing, and retrieval processes and implement automation solutions to reduce cycle times.
- Process Standardization: Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations and automated processes.
- Safety & Error Reduction: Minimize manual handling to reduce errors, damages, and enhance employee safety.
- Labor Optimization: Improve workforce efficiency and reduce reliance on manual labor through technology and process improvements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or industrial engineering.
- minimum experience of 8 years
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and ASRS solutions.
- Strong analytical skills to identify operational inefficiencies and design solutions.
- Experience in process standardization, SOP creation, and implementation support.
- Ability to deliver actionable recommendations for capacity optimization and workflow improvements.
