Warehouse Network: 12 Warehouses across India
Travel: Required to warehouse locations as per business requirement.
Job PurposeTo manage and control warehouse operations across 12 locations in India, ensuring proper inventory control, material availability, warehouse efficiency, logistics coordination, cost optimization, SOP compliance and accurate MIS reporting.The Warehouse Manager will act as the central point of control between the corporate SCM team and all warehouse locations.
Education
- Graduate in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Commerce or related field.
- MBA / PG Diploma in Supply Chain & Logistics will be an advantage.
Experience
- 8–12 years of experience in Warehouse / Stores / Supply Chain.
- Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial/supervisory role.
- Experience managing multiple warehouses / multi-location operations is strongly preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing, solar, electrical, EPC, infrastructure or engineering industry will be an advantage.

- Key ResponsibilitiesA. Multi-Location Warehouse Management
- Overall monitoring of 12 warehouses across different states of India.
- Coordinate with individual Warehouse In-charges / Store teams.
- Establish standard warehouse processes across all locations.
- Monitor daily warehouse activities through MIS and regular review calls.
- Conduct periodic visits to warehouses to check operations and compliance.
- Identify operational issues and ensure timely corrective actions.
B. Inventory Management
- Ensure accurate physical and system inventory across all warehouses.
- Monitor daily inward, outward, transfer and closing stock.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical stock verification.
- Investigate stock shortages, excess stock and inventory variances.
- Monitor slow-moving, non-moving and obsolete inventory.
- Ensure proper FIFO/FEFO wherever applicable.
- Maintain high inventory accuracy across all locations.
C. Inter-Warehouse Transfer
- Plan and control material movement between warehouses.
- Ensure stock is transferred based on actual business requirements.
- Monitor Stock Transfer Orders / transfer documentation.
- Track material until it is received at the destination warehouse.
- Ensure proper documentation for inter-state material movement.
D. Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate with Logistics, Transporters and 3PL partners.
- Monitor vehicle placement, loading, dispatch and delivery.
- Track material in transit and delivery status.
- Resolve transportation-related shortages, damages and delays.
- Monitor freight and handling costs.
- Develop and maintain transporter/3PL performance reports.
E. Warehouse Cost Control
- Monitor warehouse rent and other warehouse-related expenses.
- Control manpower, loading/unloading, handling and storage costs.
- Monitor warehouse space utilization.
- Identify opportunities for consolidation or redistribution of inventory.
- Negotiate/coordinate with warehouse service providers wherever required.
- Ensure warehouse expenses are within approved budgets.
F. MIS & ReportingPrepare and review regular warehouse MIS covering:
- Warehouse-wise stock
- Inward / outward
- Stock ageing
- Slow-moving / non-moving inventory
- Inventory variance
- Material damage
- Inter-warehouse transfers
- Pending GRN
- Pending dispatch
- Warehouse occupancy
- Logistics cost
- Warehouse expenses
- Inventory reconciliation
Present consolidated warehouse performance to SCM management.G. SOP & Process Compliance
- Develop and implement warehouse SOPs.
- Ensure uniform processes across all 12 warehouses.
- Monitor compliance with company policies.
- Conduct periodic warehouse audits.
- Identify process gaps and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure proper documentation and record keeping.
H. Team Management
- Manage and guide Warehouse In-charges and warehouse teams.
- Define responsibilities and performance expectations.
- Review team performance regularly.
- Train warehouse teams on SOPs, inventory control and safety.
- Ensure adequate manpower at each warehouse.
I. ERP & System Control
- Ensure all warehouse transactions are correctly recorded in ERP.
- Monitor GRN, material issue, transfer, dispatch and stock adjustment transactions.
- Ensure physical stock and ERP stock are aligned.
- Drive ERP discipline across all warehouse locations.
- Support implementation/improvement of warehouse management systems.
J. Audit & Compliance
- Coordinate internal and external warehouse audits.
- Ensure proper documentation for inventory and material movement.
- Close audit observations within defined timelines.
- Maintain proper records for statutory, financial and internal audits.
