ROLE (WHY POSITION EXISTS):
Responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of warehouse IT infrastructure by supporting hardware, network, and IT systems while providing first-level support for the Infor WMS application to ensure uninterrupted warehouse operations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and support warehouse IT infrastructure, including desktops, RF/handheld devices, barcode printers, UPS, network devices, and internet connectivity.
- Coordinate ISP installations, UPS deployment, asset management, hardware maintenance, and vendor support.
- Troubleshoot hardware, networking, Wi-Fi, printers, servers, and warehouse IT issues, ensuring timely resolution within SLA.
- Perform preventive maintenance, device imaging, firmware updates, and lifecycle management of IT assets.
- Provide first-level support for Infor WMS, including user access, login issues, RF device integration, printing, and application troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with Corporate IT and Infor support teams for issue escalation, upgrades, patches, and testing.
- Maintain IT documentation, SOPs, asset registers, and network records while ensuring compliance with IT security policies.
- Provide on-site, remote, and telephonic support, and train warehouse users on basic device troubleshooting and WMS usage.
EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL SKILLSET
- Graduate from a recognized university.
- 7+ years of IT support experience, preferably in warehouse, logistics, distribution, or retail environments.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, Wi-Fi, switches, Windows OS, Active Directory, and basic server administration.
- Hands-on experience with RF/barcode scanners, Zebra/Honeywell printers, and warehouse IT infrastructure.
- Exposure to Infor WMS or similar Warehouse Management Systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, ticket management, and communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience supporting Infor WMS/ERP users in warehouse operations.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications.
- SAP exposure and experience with handheld devices will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, supply chain processes, and barcode/labelling standards.
