Managing the warehouse in line with the company s standards
- Complying with the company s policies and standard operating procedures
- Overseeing all operations, such as receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance of products.
- Receiving and ensuring all purchased products are of acceptable quality and validity.
- Using the warehouse space to achieve peak efficiency.
- Safeguarding warehouse operations by complying with extensive security procedures and protocols.
- Consistently update the stock inventory data stored in Shipskarts Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure accuracy.
- Participating in the inventory/warehouse management system enhances accuracy and efficiency of warehousing operations.
- Adhering to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation laws and requirements
- Ensure all picking of stocks is as per FIFO (First In, First Out).
- Maintaining benchmarked standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies as required.
- Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc).
General Competencies :
- Must be digitally literate - ERP, WMS, Scanning, OCR, etc.
- Must be financially literate (budgets, cost management, PL, working capital).
- Must be capable of leading a team.
- Must be a good listener and communicator.
- Must be capable of building and maintaining robust relationships with vendors, service providers and partners.
- Must be compliant to systems, policies and procedures.
- Must have good time-management skills

- Must have FMCG (Food items / frozen items ) handling experience.
- Must be organised and structured, in thought and action.
- Must be cost conscious
- Must be detail-oriented
- Must be knowledgeable about marine products and services
- Ability to analyze data and provide insights from data.
- Must be an empathetic leader.
Attributes :
- Must have a Bachelor s Degree, in any discipline.
- At least 5 years experience in warehousing / supply chain
- 2+ years experience in a warehouse supervisory role.
- Must be able to communicate very well, orally and in writing
- Proven knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures
- Must have experience/familiarity with ERP usage and general digital operations.
