Manage and oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring smooth, efficient and timely execution of activities.
Lead, coach and develop warehouse personnel, including team leaders and operational staff.
Establish clear performance expectations and foster a positive, accountable and collaborative working environment.
Plan and manage manpower requirements to ensure appropriate staffing levels while controlling overtime and labour costs.
Monitor warehouse productivity, workflow, accuracy, service levels and other key operational performance indicators.
Oversee inventory management activities, including stock accuracy, cycle counting, reconciliation and investigation of discrepancies.
Ensure proper handling, storage, movement and control of materials and inventory.
Work closely with sales, customer service, transportation, finance and other internal stakeholders to meet operational and customer requirements.
Liaise with customers, suppliers, vendors and service providers where required to resolve operational matters.
Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, productivity, cost efficiency and overall service quality.
Develop and implement warehouse procedures, work instructions and process improvements.
Monitor facility, equipment and maintenance requirements to ensure a safe and effective working environment.
Ensure compliance with company policies, workplace safety requirements and applicable regulatory standards.
Drive warehouse safety initiatives and ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment.
Analyse operational data and prepare relevant reports, recommendations and improvement plans for management.
Support the implementation of operational changes, new processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ad hoc duties or projects as assigned.
Diploma, Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Warehouse Management, Operations or a related discipline.
At least 5 - 8 years of warehouse or distribution experience, with at least 3 - 5 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
Experience managing warehouses with a relatively high SKU count and a wide variety of products is highly preferred.
Experience within the electrical & electronics, IT hardware, technology, industrial products or other related distribution environments is an advantage.
Strong experience managing end-to-end warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, dispatch and inventory control.
Proven experience in inventory management, stock accuracy and cycle counting.
