The hours of this post are Tuesday to Friday 1500-1900
As a Catering Assistant you will be based mainly in the prep meal kitchen. You will deal with a high volume of patients whilst still maintaining the high quality and service standards required. You will have a proven track record of working in a similar establishment with a team of catering staff, with a can do attitude. You will ensure that our patients will receive a prompt efficient service, quality food and products ensuring that you deliver a friendly attitude.
Applicants will have the ability to work as part of a team, have good interpersonal skills, and 1st class patient service skills relevant to this post.
An Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable for this post however full training will be given and you will be expected to sit your Food Hygiene Certificate within 3 months of taking up post if you don't already process this.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
The post holders will report to the Facilities Supervisors for the National Treatment Centre and will have day to day responsibility to ensure that all cleaning standards, procedures & process are followed.
There may be occasions where you could be asked to work in the Raigmore Hospital site.
Previous experience desirable although full training will be provided for the successful candidate.
You will need to be flexible, committed and have a positive attitude to your work.
