Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Operations (24x7)

  • Monitor Imperva Cloud WAF dashboard, alerts, and security events 24x7.
  • Perform shift-based health checks and proactive monitoring.
  • Respond to alerts, incidents, and service requests within SLA.

Incident & Ticket Management

  • Raise, update, and track incidents, SRs, and change requests in the ticketing tool.
  • Perform initial troubleshooting (policy blocks, false positives, traffic anomalies).
  • Escalate complex issues to L2/L3 teams.
  • Ensure proper shift handover documentation.

Application & Security Support

  • Support onboarding of new applications to Imperva CWAF.
  • Assist in DNS cutover, policy attachment, and basic rule configuration.
  • Validate application accessibility and security post changes.
  • Coordinate with Network, DNS, and Application teams.

Vendor Coordination (TAC)

  • Raise and manage support cases with Imperva TAC.
  • Share logs, traffic captures, and configuration details as required.
  • Track case progress and provide timely updates until closure.

SOP & Documentation

  • Follow approved SOPs for operations and incident handling.
  • Update runbooks, onboarding guides, and inventory records.
  • Maintain proper documentation of activities and changes.

Required Skills

  • Strong fundamentals in Networking (IP, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS).
  • Basic understanding of WAF concepts and OWASP Top 10.
  • Knowledge of CDN, reverse proxy, and SSL/TLS concepts.
  • Understanding of HTTP response codes and web traffic analysis.
  • Basic troubleshooting using browser developer tools / logs.
  • Familiarity with NOC processes and monitoring tools.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.

  • Willingness to work in rotational shifts (24x7).
  • Ability to handle security incidents under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and process adherence.
  • Clear shift handover and documentation discipline.
