Vulnerability Management Analyst (AI Training)
About The Role
We partner with the world's leading AI research teams to build smarter, more capable AI systems. Now we're looking for experienced security practitioners to bring real-world vulnerability management expertise to the frontier of AI development.
This isn't a typical analyst role. You'll apply your hands-on knowledge of CVEs, exposure management, and remediation workflows to help train and evaluate AI systems — ensuring they reason about security risk the way seasoned professionals actually do.
If you've spent time in the trenches triaging vulnerabilities, managing patch cycles, or prioritizing what actually matters in production environments, your expertise is exactly what we need.
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Analyze vulnerability reports, CVEs, and real-world exposure scenarios across infrastructure and applications
- Assess severity, exploitability, business impact, and appropriate remediation strategies
- Review and evaluate patching, mitigation, and risk prioritization decision-making scenarios
- Generate, label, and validate realistic security-reasoning data used to train and benchmark AI systems
- Apply your practical knowledge of what risk actually matters in production — not just theoretical CVSS scores
Who You Are
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in vulnerability management, security operations, or infrastructure security
- Solid understanding of CVEs, vulnerability scanners, patching workflows, and risk prioritization frameworks
- Able to articulate the real-world tradeoffs between theoretical risk scores and operational impact
- A structured, analytical thinker who communicates clearly in writing
- Self-directed and comfortable working asynchronously on task-based assignments
Nice to Have
- Experience with tools like Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, or similar platforms
- Familiarity with frameworks such as CVSS, EPSS, CISA KEV, or NIST
- Background in cloud infrastructure, DevSecOps, or enterprise security operations
- Prior experience contributing to AI, data labeling, or research projects
