Vulnerability Management Analyst (AI Training)
About The Role
We're partnering with the world's leading AI research labs to build smarter, more capable AI systems — and we need practitioners who know what real security work actually looks like.
If you've spent time in vulnerability management, security operations, or infrastructure security, this is a rare opportunity to apply that expertise in a new and impactful way. You'll work with realistic security scenarios, CVE data, and remediation workflows to help evaluate and improve how AI understands and reasons about cybersecurity.
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Analyze vulnerability reports, CVEs, and exposure scenarios across infrastructure and application environments
- Classify severity, exploitability, business impact, and appropriate remediation strategies
- Review and evaluate patching, mitigation, and risk prioritization decision-making scenarios
- Generate, label, and validate realistic security-reasoning data used to train and benchmark AI systems
- Apply your real-world judgment to distinguish between theoretical risk and what actually matters in production
Who You Are
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in vulnerability management, security operations, or infrastructure security
- Solid familiarity with CVEs, vulnerability scanners, patching workflows, and risk prioritization frameworks (e.g., CVSS, EPSS, SSVC)
- Able to think clearly about tradeoffs between theoretical severity and operational risk
- Structured, analytical communicator who can explain security reasoning clearly in writing
- Self-directed and comfortable working asynchronously on task-based assignments
Nice to Have
- Experience with tools like Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, or similar platforms
- Familiarity with cloud or containerized infrastructure security
- Background in threat intelligence, red teaming, or security engineering
- Prior exposure to AI evaluation or data annotation workflows
