Title: VP -Tribe Lead, Agile Squad - Management Reporting
Department: Corporate Affairs Group (GCFO's Office) - Agile Squads
Job Description:
The Tribe Lead role key responsibility is to establish and scale the Management Reporting Factory as the centralized delivery function for all Finance management reporting. Role holder is accountable for end‑to‑end delivery, performance, and outcomes of a Tribe comprising multiple Agile Squads. The role provides senior leadership across delivery, Agile maturity, and execution governance, ensuring squad outcomes are aligned to business strategy, risk expectations, and technology standards of the Bank.
The role also ensures effective adoption of AI‑enabled capabilities within the Tribe, including analytics, automation, and intelligent decision support, while maintaining regulatory compliance, explainability, and risk controls. The Tribe Lead partners with Product, Business, Technology, Architecture, and Risk stakeholders to enable predictable, high‑quality delivery at scale and continuous innovation.

Key Result Areas: 1. Tribe Delivery & Execution Accountability
- Establish and manage the Build/Run operating model - overseeing new report development alongside maintenance of all live management reports.
- Own end‑to‑end delivery outcomes across all Agile Squads within the Tribe.
- Ensure delivery commitments are met in line with agreed scope, timelines, quality, and risk standards.
- Monitor and improve delivery predictability, velocity, and throughput at Tribe level.
- Manage cross‑squad dependencies, risks, and constraints proactively.
2. Agile Governance & Ways of Working
- Establish and enforce consistent Agile delivery practices across the Tribe.
- Ensure adherence to the Bank's Agile, technology, data, and AI governance frameworks.
- Chair Tribe‑level planning, dependency management, and delivery governance forums.
- Drive continuous improvement in Agile maturity, engineering practices, and delivery discipline.
3. Product, Business & AI Alignment
- Partner with Product Owners and Business Leads to align delivery with strategic priorities and outcomes.
- Ensure clear linkage between business objectives, product roadmaps, and squad backlogs.
- Support prioritization of digital, data, and AI‑driven initiatives across the Tribe.
- Ensure AI use cases deliver measurable business value while meeting explainability and regulatory standards.
4. Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Act as the primary delivery interface for senior stakeholders across Business, Technology, Data, and Operations.
- Provide transparent reporting on delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and AI initiative outcomes.
- Escalate delivery, capacity, or governance issues requiring executive intervention.
- Foster strong collaboration across Tribes, Chapters, and enterprise shared services.
- Drive cross-unit collaboration, ensuring squads operate as one centralized factory rather than unit-specific teams.
5. People Leadership & Capability Development
- Provide leadership and direction to Scrum Masters, Delivery Leads, and squad members.
- Build a high‑performance delivery culture with strong accountability and ownership.
- Support development of Agile, digital, and AI literacy across the Tribe.
Encourage continuous learning, innovation, and responsible experimentation
Technical & Functional Skills
- Strong understanding of banking finance, management reporting, and business line P&L drivers.
- Experience in report automation, data-driven workflows, and reporting system enhancements.
- Knowledge of profitability concepts including FTP, cost allocation, and segment-level returns.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts such as model training, analytics automation, predictive modeling, and data science use cases in Finance.
- Exposure to finance technology platforms (e.g., OFSAA, data models, reporting tools) is an advantage.
Agile & Product Ownership Skills
- Hands‑on experience as a delivery lead in an Agile environment.
- Ability to create product vision, and understand business needs.
- Experience embedding AI/digital initiatives within Agile product delivery.
- Experience working with cross-functional squads (technology, data, business).
- Skilled in Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban; certification (CSPO / PSPO) preferred.
- Ability to balance tactical needs with long-term roadmap planning.
Leadership & Behavioral Skills
- Senior‑level stakeholder engagement and influencing capability.
- Strong execution‑focused decision‑making under pressure.
- Ability to lead large teams through transformation and change.
- Collaborative leadership style with high accountability and ownership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, Technology, Engineering, Data, or related field.
- Professional qualifications in Finance (CA / CFA / MBA) are an advantage
- 10+ years of experience in Technology, Digital, Data, or Delivery leadership roles.
- 5+ years in Agile delivery leadership
- Exposure to AI, analytics, or data‑driven transformation initiatives preferred.
- Agile or scaled Agile certification (SAFe, Scrum, or equivalent) preferred.
