Job Summary

Lead the Technology Portfolio and Risk Management, ensuring robust IT policy, compliance, governance, and risk management frameworks. Drive strategic alignment of technology initiatives with business objectives, oversee ITGC, and champion best-in-class project, portfolio, and risk management practices across the Digital Technology function.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio & Project Management

· Oversee the end-to-end IT project and program portfolio, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and business value delivery.

· Govern the intake, prioritization, and resource allocation for all IT projects, ensuring optimal utilization and delivery on time and within budget.

· Drive adoption and compliance with project management tools and reporting standards.

· Prepare and circulate periodic portfolio and project status reports, highlighting key metrics, risks, and issues for executive leadership. IT General Controls (ITGC) & Audit

· Define, implement, and monitor ITGC frameworks to ensure compliance with regulatory, statutory, and internal audit requirements.

· Coordinate and facilitate IT audits, ensuring timely closure of open issues and zero critical findings.

· Track and report on ITGC effectiveness, remediation actions, and continuous improvement initiatives. IT Strategy & Governance

· Partner with the CTO and leadership to develop and execute IT strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and digital transformation priorities.

· Lead the creation, review, and enforcement of IT policies, standards, and governance processes.

Risk Management

· Develop and implement an enterprise-wide IT risk management framework, integrating risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring into all portfolio and project activities.

· Proactively identify, evaluate, and manage risks across IT projects, programs, and operations, ensuring alignment with organizational risk appetite and regulatory requirements.

· Maintain a risk register for all IT initiatives, ensuring timely escalation and resolution of critical risks.

· Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.

· Lead risk reporting and communication to executive leadership, audit committees, and governance forums.

· Ensure compliance with internal and external risk management standards and best practices (e.g., ISO 31000, COBIT, NIST). Leadership & Stakeholder Management

· Build and lead a high-performing PMO team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.

· Mentor and train team members and stakeholders on project management, governance, compliance, and risk management best practices.

· Represent IT in cross-functional forums and external engagements.

Measures of Success Execution Measures

· 90%+ delivery of strategic projects on time and within budget.

· 100% compliance with PMO, ITGC, governance, and risk management guidelines.

· IT audit ratings of 2 and above; zero critical issues in statutory and regulatory audits.

· Timely closure of all audit, review, and risk findings.

· Portfolio value realization and benefits tracking.

Desired qualification and experience

BE/B.Tech & MBA with 15+ years of relevant experience in large-scale PMO, governance, and IT strategy roles.

Proven track record in portfolio management, ITGC, and audit in a large multinational or financial services organization.

Certifications such as PMP, PgMP, CSM, or equivalent is highly desirable.
