Position Title: SDET (Quality Engineering)
Position:
Jefferies is seeking an SDET for Middle and Back Office related application suites. Candidate should have hands on experience in QA automated testing as they will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks and tools.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain robust test automation frameworks - functional, regression, system, and integration testing for UI, API, and backend systems.
- Develop and enhance test plans, test cases, and test scripts using tools like TestComplete, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, etc.
- Ability to work with development team and DevOps engineers to develop a priority list of manual test cases where targeted automation would most benefit the Quality Engineering process by allowing more focus on unit testing development and automated integration and regression with DevOps methodology.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Bamboo or GitHub Actions.
- Participate in Agile ceremoniessprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
- Execute and document test cases, results, and log defects for failed cases, and collaborate with developers to resolve defects and optimize performance.
- Contribute to performance and security testing initiatives.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure testability of the codebase.
Desired Experience/ Skills:
- Strong experience automating manual test cases for applications.
- Strong experience in Windows and Linux/Unix services.
- Experience in languages like Python, Java.
- Experience in scripting language Power shell and working experience in SQL.
- Hands on experience in working on tools like JIRA, and Test Management tools
- Strong experience in DevOps integration tools such as Bamboo, GitHub, J-Frog, Jenkins, Bit Bucket, Kubernetes, FDD, BDD, TDD test frameworks
- Experience and in-depth understanding of the Software Testing principles.
- Experience in the field of IT and Capital Markets, and testing in the Banking and Financial Industry domain.
- Defect Management Articulation of defects in detailed manner, assigning defects to technical teams, capturing target fix dates and resolution comments from IT
- Co-ordinate with Project/ Program managers with clear communications.
- Ability to drive the project Initiatives on your own, plan and execute activities based on project milestones, and independently manage communications.
- Adept at providing Testing, Technical and Domain expertise by guidance to team.
