VP, Responsible AI & Governance

I'm currently partnering with a leading financial institution on a VP-level opportunity focused on AI Governance, Responsible AI and AI Regulatory Risk, as the organisation continues to strengthen its approach to the responsible adoption of AI.

This is a strategic opportunity for an experienced AI governance, AI risk, responsible AI or regulatory professional to play a key role in shaping the organisation's AI governance agenda, helping ensure AI is adopted in a safe, ethical, transparent and compliant manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and enhancement of AI governance frameworks, policies and standards
• Establish governance practices across the AI lifecycle, from development and deployment through to ongoing monitoring
• Assess AI-related risks and establish appropriate controls and mitigation strategies
• Monitor emerging AI regulations and regulatory expectations, translating them into practical governance requirements
• Provide guidance to senior stakeholders on responsible AI, ethics, risk and regulatory compliance
• Drive awareness and training initiatives around AI governance, responsible AI and AI risk management

Requirements:

• 8+ years of relevant experience, with significant exposure to AI/ML, AI risk or AI governance
• Strong understanding of the AI/ML lifecycle, model risk and responsible AI principles
• Experience across risk management, governance, compliance or regulatory environments
• Good knowledge of AI regulations and data privacy, with financial services experience highly preferred
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, analytical and documentation skills
