Job Responsibilities

Role Summary

This role is a front office role focused on identifying and executing transactions with existing and prospective clients to maximise the bank's returns. The role involves providing end-to-end client support through close coordination with internal departments, branches, and external stakeholders to ensure service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan initiatives and programs in consultation with the Department Head, Group Head and Management to improve the bank's business performance and profitability.
• Develop and execute business strategies, and short-, mid-, and long-term plans to achieve goals and target.
• Coordinate with the Credit Monitoring Department, Credit Analyst team, and Operations Department to ensure seamless customer service.
• Review credit and rating applications to support sound business and lending decisions.
• Manage pre- and post-sanction follow-up activities, including customer visits, asset verification, stock inspections, external inspection reports, and asset valuation reports wherever applicable.
• Comply with all applicable rules and regulations from competent authorities including RBI, the Bank of Japan, Head Office, other branches and statutory authorities.
• Collect and report information on political, economic and fiscal developments in India and the Asian region to the Department Head and Group Head.
• Adhere to the Mizuho Code of Conduct, compliance manuals, overseas branch manuals, branch security policies and all instructions issued by the Compliance Officer and Management.
• Provide information and support to auditor's other teams or departments and respond to queries as required.
• Support action plans to close non-compliance items and open issues.
  
  

Job Requirements

• An MBA, CA, or other advanced degree is preferred.
• The role requires 10-12 years of relevant experience.
• In-depth knowledge of local regulations, including RBI and the Foreign Exchange Dealers Association of India, is essential.
• Strong customer focus is required to deliver high-quality client service and support.
• Excellent communication skills are needed to engage effectively with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
• Well-developed analytical skills are important for evaluating business opportunities and supporting decision-making.
• Strong financial analysis and financial modelling skills are required to assess transactions and support business execution.
• Results-oriented mindset is essential to drive business growth and achieve assigned targets.
