The role requires strong experience in the Investment Banking domain with a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 7+ years of hands-on development experience using languages such as C#, Java, Scala, Kotlin, Go, or C++, along with the ability to lead a small team of developers and work effectively with global teams in a matrix environment. The candidate must be comfortable handling rapid front-office business demands, adapting to changing priorities, and communicating professionally with IT and business stakeholders under strict deadlines, demonstrating excellent written and verbal English and strong status reporting skills. Technically, the role demands experience deploying applications to Kubernetes, exposure to migrating systems from .NET Framework to a Kubernetes-native stack, and a solid understanding of relational databases, SQL, stored procedures, and in-memory caching technologies like Redis. A good understanding of software design principles and patterns, including user interface design, is required, along with skills in Python, T-SQL, and NoSQL databases. Experience in trade regulatory reporting with knowledge of equity and/or derivatives products, familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, the ability to work independently across the technology stack, and an understanding of compute farms, distributed caching, and distributed computing are strong added advantages.
