Nomura is hiring a Vice President-Principal Platform Engineer within its Identity Cryptographic Services team under Group Platform & Services Engineering in Mumbai, focused on building and modernizing enterprise-grade PKI and key management platforms. The role involves designing, scaling, and engineering solutions across certificate lifecycle management, certificate authorities, key management systems, and HSM platforms while driving automation, consolidation, and strategic platform roadmaps. The candidate will provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and enhance platform stability, observability, and operational efficiency through continuous improvement. Strong expertise is required in key management tools like Entrust and Thales CipherTrust, HSMs such as nShield and Luna, and internal/external PKI environments. Experience with DevOps toolchains (GitLab, Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Bash), hybrid cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and agile methodologies is essential. The role also demands strong understanding of cryptographic services enabling data protection and identity security. Preferred exposure includes ServiceNow, Atlassian tools, ITIL, and observability platforms like Prometheus and Grafana, along with financial services domain experience. Candidates should hold a relevant degree and certifications like CISSP or CCSP. Strong communication, problem-solving, and self-management skills are critical, along with the ability to work in fast-paced environments.
