About the Role

As we scale beyond 12,000+ learners, 500+ teachers, and multi-country operations, our delivery engine has become increasingly complex. We're looking for a VP Operations to unify and scale our operational verticals under one umbrellabringing together Teacher Operations, Student Onboarding, and Customer Support into a world-class delivery machine.

This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll be the single owner of delivery quality, scheduling efficiency, onboarding excellence, and the overall student-teacher-parent experience across all markets. You'll professionalize our operations function for our next stage of growth while freeing up significant founder bandwidth from tactical problem-solving.

What you'll do

  • Lead Student Onboarding: Own the post-enrollment delivery setupmatching students with the right teachers, scheduling first classes within TAT, managing complex group class batch formation, and reducing onboarding delays and escalations
  • Scale Teacher Operations: Drive slot health improvement, scheduling and allocation efficiency, teacher readiness and attendance, substitute workflows, and reduction of class cancellations and clashes
  • Elevate Customer Support: Set and achieve support SLAs (first-response time, resolution time), improve CSAT and NPS, ensure multi-country support coverage, and build strong escalation management systems
  • Build Process & Systems Excellence: Create SOPs for all key workflows, establish dashboarding and daily/weekly review mechanisms, implement automation and AI-driven operations, and collaborate closely with Product/Engineering on internal tools
  • Develop Your Team: Build, hire, and coach a strong second line of Directors and Senior Managers who can independently run their functions
  • Drive Predictability: Establish metrics-driven operations that deliver consistent, high-quality experiences across all student and teacher touchpoints
  • Scale Globally: Ensure operational playbooks work seamlessly across multiple countries and time zones

What We're Looking For

  • Education: Engineering degree (mandatory); MBA from top-tier schools (ISB, IIMs, SP Jain, NMIMS, Great Lakes) preferred
  • 10-15 years total experience, with minimum 5+ years leading multi-layer teams (Managers Team Leads Associates)
  • Large-scale operations leadership: Experience managing 100-200+ people in tech-enabled, multi-layer operations
  • Teacher/Workforce Operations: Background in managing teacher-like supply, large-scale delivery or scheduling operations, or post-sales service experience
  • Multi-country operations: Experience working with multi-time-zone or international operations is a strong plus
  • Operational Excellence: Demonstrated ownership of delivery metrics, experience reducing escalations and improving SLAs, strong analytical and dashboard-driven mindset
  • Cross-functional Leadership: Proven ability to collaborate with Product and Engineering teams, comfort implementing SOPs, automation, and new systems
  • People Leadership: Ability to build second-line leadership, strong communication skills, and a calm, structured approach during high-pressure situations

Bonus if you have

  • Experience from EdTech companies or consumer marketplaces with sophisticated supply-demand matching
  • Certifications or demonstrated experience in Lean Operations, Six Sigma, Process Optimization, Workforce Management, or AI-driven operations
  • Track record of building operational engines from good to great in high-growth environments
  • Experience with complex scheduling, matching algorithms, or marketplace dynamics
