We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Android/Linux Location Software Development Team, contributing to the development, optimization, and integration of advanced location technologies in Qualcomm chipsets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and optimize location software modules for Android/Linux platforms (GPS, GNSS, Wi-Fi, Sensor Fusion).
- Contribute to middleware and HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) components for Qualcomm hardware integration.
- Assist in debugging, profiling, and resolving issues at the platform and driver level.
- Collaborate with firmware, hardware, and application teams to deliver production-grade software.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high-quality, maintainable code.
- Support feature bring-up, performance validation, and system integration testing.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming and data structures.
- Experience in Embedded Systems or Linux/Android system programming.
- Understanding of Android architecture, system services, and AOSP build process.
- Familiarity with GPS/GNSS fundamentals and sensor-based positioning.
- Knowledge of multithreading, IPC (Binder, sockets), and memory management.
- Exposure to Qualcomm chipset platforms or similar embedded SoCs is preferred.
- Hands-on with debugging tools (GDB, adb, perf) and version control (Git, Gerrit).
Good To Have
- Experience in Android NDK or platform customization.
- Scripting knowledge (Python, shell) for automation and testing.
- Basic understanding of wireless technologies (Wi-Fi, LTE, 5G).
Qualifications
- B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech in Computer Science, or related fields.
- 3- 6 years of experience in software development on Android/Linux platforms
