Voice Network Engineer

Significant exposure/familiarity with the following platforms:

• Cisco Unified Communications Manager

• Cisco Unity Connection

• Cisco Voice Gateways/CUBE

• Expressways

• IM and Presence, Jabber, Webex Calling

• Good knowledge of Cisco Routers and Switches wrt to UC tech.

• Good knowledge of UCS, Virtualization / VMware wrt to UC technologies

Technical Skills

• Intermediate/Expert level experience in handling Cisco IP telephony Network Infrastructure.
• Good knowledge of call routing and media resources.
• Collecting and analyzing basic CUCM logs/traces.
• Collecting and analyzing voice gateway debugs.
• Good understanding of voice protocols and signaling: H323, SIP (mandatory), MGCP, SCCP
• Good knowledge on key networking concepts- RTP/RTCP, DNS, LDAP, DHCP, NTP, TCP/UDP,
• Good knowledge of Unified Communication Licensing and certificates.

Must possess solid communication skills:

• Build client relations (e.g., establish productive and reciprocal relationships with Team, Customers, Partners, and other stakeholders)

• Professional & concise (written & verbal)

Self-Motivated:

• Receives limited supervision

• Provides guidance and mentoring to other engineers
