As a Voice support Engineer, you are responsible for providing technical support, troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.

- Technical skillsYou need to have a solid understanding of Cisco voice collaboration products and solutions, such as Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco IM & P, Cisco Unity Connection, Cisco Unified Contact Center Express, Cisco Contact Center Enterprise, Cisco Expressway, Cisco Telepresence, Cisco WebEx, Avaya, MS Teams, Panasonic, Calabrio, and Zoom Call Recording solutions, Imagicle Billing & Reporting, RightFax etc. You also need to be familiar with voice protocols, such as SIP, H.323, MGCP, SCCP, and RTP, and voice gateways, routers, and SBC's. You should be able to design, install, configure, and maintain voice networks and applications, as well as troubleshoot voice issues and perform root cause analysis. You should also have knowledge of voice security, certificates, encryption, and authentication. Strong network engineering experience and knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Troubleshooting skills You need to have the ability to diagnose and resolve voice problems quickly and effectively, using various tools and methods. You should be able to use tools such as TranslatorX, RTMT, CDR, CLI, debugs, traces, and packet captures to analyze voice traffic and identify issues. You should also be able to use methods such as the scientific method, the OSI model, and the divide and conquer technique to isolate and fix voice issues. You should also have the skills to document and communicate your troubleshooting steps and findings clearly and concisely.
- Backup and recovery You need to have the ability to backup and restore the voice data and configuration in case of any disaster or corruption. The ability to ensure that the voice network and applications have high availability and redundancy to minimize downtime. YOU should be able to use the tools such as Cisco Unified Communications Manager Disaster Recovery System (DRS) and Cisco Unified Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST) to backup and recover voice data and configuration, and to provide backup voice services in case of WAN failure.
- Interpersonal skills You need to have the skills to work well with others, both within your team and with external stakeholders, such as customers, vendors, and partners. You should be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, using appropriate language and tone. You should also be able to listen actively, ask relevant questions, and provide constructive feedback. You should also have the skills to collaborate, cooperate, and coordinate with others, as well as manage your time, prioritize your tasks, and handle stress and pressure.
- Operations Activities To meet day-to-day operations tasks like MACD's, VA assessments and applying fixes, other voice related activities to deliver and maintain the service according to the SLA's.
- Strong network engineering experience and knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies
- Experience in cloud-based voice infrastructure solutions.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- A Cisco certification, such as CCNA Voice or CCNP Collaboration, can validate your technical skills and increase your credibility
- Minimum 5+ years of experience
