Job Title: Technical Support Engineer – Virtualization

Experience: 4+ years

Certification: VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization VCP–DCV and nutanix certification

Role Overview:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Technical Support Engineer – Virtualization to support and maintain VMware-based infrastructure in a large-scale, enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with VMware technologies, server builds, storage management, and system automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer, configure, and troubleshoot VMware environments including vCenter, Update Manager, Operations Manager, and Orchestrator.
• Perform storage migrations, assign LUNs, and address ESXi vulnerabilities in line with security best practices.
• Manage VM snapshots and participate in DR (Disaster Recovery) drills, including storage mapping/unmapping.
• Build and deploy new servers, including integration with Cisco ACI switches.
• Design and manage VM templates; use vCenter Operations Manager to right-size virtual servers.
• Conduct V2V and P2V migrations as part of server consolidation and hardware reduction initiatives.
• Upgrade ESXi hosts and VM guests using VMware Update Manager.
• Utilize scripting tools like PowerCLI (knowledge preferred) for automation.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients to translate technical issues into operational solutions.

Required Skills:

• 4+ years of relevant hands-on experience with VMware technologies.
• Strong understanding of virtualization best practices, server migration, and enterprise IT environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
