VMware Administrator

We are looking for a skilled VMware Administrator to manage and maintain our virtualized infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the daily administration, monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of VMware environments, ensuring high availability and stability of business-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and manage VMware vSphere environments (ESXi, vCenter).
• Perform regular maintenance of virtual infrastructure including patching and upgrades.
• Monitor system performance and availability using tools like vRealize Operations Manager or similar.
• Provision virtual machines and manage resource allocation based on business needs.
• Maintain security, backup, and disaster recovery procedures for virtual environments.
• Troubleshoot VMware issues including host, VM, storage, and network-related problems.
• Support storage and network integration with virtual environments.
• Maintain and optimize VM templates, snapshots, and VMware Tools across hosts.
• Document procedures, configurations, and policies.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and application teams for integrated solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 4–5 years of hands-on experience in VMware vSphere administration.
• Strong knowledge of VMware ESXi, vCenter Server, and vMotion.
• Experience with HA/DRS, resource pools, VM snapshots, and clustering.
• Familiarity with SAN/NAS storage technologies and integration with VMware.
• Good understanding of Windows/Linux OS administration within virtual environments.
• Strong skills in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and resource optimization.
• Proficiency with PowerCLI or other scripting tools for automation (preferred).
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery tools compatible with VMware (e.g., Veeam, Commvault).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with VMware NSX, vSAN, or Horizon View.
• Knowledge of cloud-based virtualization (e.g., VMware on AWS, Azure VMware Solution).
• VMware certification (e.g., VCP-DCV) is a strong advantage.
