We are looking for a skilled VMware Administrator with 7-9 years of experience to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing VMware environments, ensuring high availability, and optimizing performance. You will be responsible for maintaining our virtualization infrastructure and supporting our organization's growing needs.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain VMware infrastructure including vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi hosts.
- Perform regular system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning to ensure optimal operations.
- Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions for virtual machines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtualization environments and provide support for end-users.
- Automate routine tasks using PowerCLI and other scripting languages to improve efficiency.
- Conduct regular system upgrades and patch management for VMware products.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of VMware solutions with existing infrastructure.
- Document procedures, configurations, and policies related to virtualization management.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7-9 years of hands-on experience in VMware administration and management.
- In-depth knowledge of VMware vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi systems.
- Experience with storage solutions and networking concepts related to virtual environments.
- Familiarity with automation tools such as PowerCLI, Ansible, or similar scripting languages.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with performance monitoring tools.
- Certifications such as VCP (VMware Certified Professional) are highly preferred.
- Good understanding of security best practices in virtual environments.
